Account deletion

In short. A Pletyk account is only used to sync between devices. You can delete it in the app itself. Deleting the account immediately removes all your synced data from the server.

In the app

Open Pletyk and go to the More tab.
In the Account and sync card, tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, write to hello@pletyk.app from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Account deletion”. We will delete the account within 30 days and reply once it’s done.

What is deleted

the account itself: your email address and, if you signed in with Google, your name and profile picture link;
all synced data: decks, words, learning progress, review history, study time.

The server provider’s technical logs and backups are kept for a limited time under its own rules, after which they are gone.

What stays

Words and progress on your device remain after the account is deleted: the app keeps working without an account. To remove them too, uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings. Backup files you saved separately are yours to delete.
